Product Manager

The Product Manager works within the Varick team to own the Alveo technology platform; its databases and interfaces; and its connections with client and 3rd-party platforms.

The responsibilities include gathering requirements, building business cases supported by revenue and profit, building and maintaining the product roadmap, constant internal and external communication, collaboration with agile engineering teams, and delivery of a world-class advertising and marketing technology platform.

The ideal candidate will be able to balance business requirements, agile engineering sprints, internal and external communication, and flawless execution and delivery.

The Product Manager reports to the SVP Technology Strategy.


  • Product owner of our internal technology platform Alveo and the associated database and interfaces.
  • Develop and maintain the Alveo product roadmap
  • Manage sprints for engineering and adhere to the timelines agreed with the business leads.
  • Presents bi-weekly progress of product development to senior leadership and business leads.
  • Manage our data compliance and quality assurance processes
  • Understand business needs and translate to product requirements
  • Appraise new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products
  • Prepare return-on-investment analyses
  • Establishing time schedules with engineering
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in product management for an ad technology or marketing technology platform.  Experience in SAAS and self-service technology platforms a plus.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of relational databases such as Redshift and data warehouses such as S3
  • Working knowledge of SQL and general experience of working with database languages
  • A team player able to work collaboratively with engineers, data scientists and analysts
  • Possesses strong understanding of programmatic media buying and technology
  • Solid understanding of ad-server technologies
  • Strong understanding of digital campaign success metrics
  • Excellent organization and project management skills
  • Comfort presenting to senior clients and large groups
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, managing multiple projects and tight deadlines
  • Unquenchable thirst for excellence, knowledge and new skills
