Digital Strategist

Overview:

The Digital Strategist is a crucial position on the Sales Planning team.  You will be a member of a fast paced and highly motivated Programmatic team where customer service is key to success.

The ideal candidate is someone who works well within a team in a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment.  You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics in digital media planning with a programmatic focus, partner relationships, and RFP/sales process.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and has the ability to grasp complex topics in order to deliver creative solutions. You will also drive innovation at the planning level and cultivate key partnerships to deliver the best programmatic digital media opportunities to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Sales team to understand agency/client goals and objectives and brainstorm strategic solutions.
  • Create comprehensive media plans and presentations that meet client/agency needs and maximize revenue for Varick.
  • Build presentations, sales collateral and additional materials needed to inform clients about Varick’s capabilities.
  • Ensure Growth Management teams have proper and accurate campaign information for seamless execution.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Growth Management teams on incremental opportunities and renewal strategies based on client/program insights.
  • Collaborate with internal operational departments (Marketing/Partnerships, Growth Management etc.) on campaign development and information for client campaigns.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Varick’s capabilities, approach, resources, and sales processes.
  • Keep updated on industry trends and timely topics within digital marketing/advertising

Job Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree
  • 1-1 ½ years experience in media planning, account management or client services
  • Digital/programmatic media experience referred
  • Strong analytical and creative skills
  • Well organized and strong attention to detail
  • Can work independently and proactively while working on a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Keynote and ability to quickly learn company systems and other applications;
  • Must be comfortable working with financial and numerical details
  • Well-organized, with proactive and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-motivated, multitasking environment
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and project management skills
  • Knowledge/Familiarity with digital advertising tools such as Google Adwords, Double Click Bid Manager, Appnexus, Prisma, and Salesforce
